Stupid State Laws - Pennsylvania 4

Here comes another post about a state law that still exists on the books and why it is ridiculous (to see them all, click here):

Pennsylvania

"It is contrary to Pennsylvania law to discharge a gun, cannon, revolver or other explosive weapon at a wedding."

Pennsylvania, you are amazing.  While I find it reasonable that someone shouldn't fire a gun or revolver at a wedding, I just want to know who even thinks to bring a cannon to a wedding.  Those damn things are heavy and I think it would make more sense to lug a keg to wedding if you are going to bring something that weighs a lot.  And what does "explosive weapon" exactly imply?  Does this mean that you can't bring fireworks?  Because that would put a damper on some good ol' fashioned celebrating.  What the hell, Pennsylvania, where do you come up with this stuff?

"Congratulations to the happy couple!"
