Old School
- The beer that Will Ferrell chugs during the Mitch-a-Palooza scene is actually non-alcoholic.
- The foul-mouthed band that plays during the wedding is real and named The Dan Band. They also appear in two other Todd Phillips' movies, Starksy & Hutch and The Hangover.
- Vince Vaughn actually signed his movie contract during the wedding scene because it was his first day of shooting.
- Blue's real name is Joseph (Jay) "Blue" Pulaski. The Toronto Blue Jays have a minor league team called the Pulaski Blue Jays.
- The man who played Marissa's (Will Ferrell's movie wife) father and gave her away at the wedding is actually Will Ferrell's accountant.
- Director Todd Phillips' dog makes a cameo in the movie. He plays the oral sex instructor's dog.
- Todd Phillips also has a cameo, he plays the guy at the beginning of the movie who shows up to Luke Wilson's door asking about the gang bang.
- Simon Helberg (aka Howard Wolowitz from The Big Bang Theory) plays one of the pledges in this movie. Another pledge is played by Rob Corddry of Children's Hospital and Hot Tub Time Machine fame.
